Elden Ring: New on the speedrun side!

A month ago, we thought speedrunning on Elden Ring had reached its limits. Records were becoming increasingly rare, and the discipline of finishing a game as quickly as possible seemed to run out of steam on FromSoftware’s latest game.

However, the speedrunners are not giving up on Elden Ring and continue to surprise us with records, each more phenomenal than the next!

Side Any% Unrestricted

What is the Any% Unrestricted ? This is the most lax category of speedrunning. All means are good in order to finish the game as quickly as possible, including bugs, “zips” (bugs of teleportation through areas) and other techniques which the followers of the discipline have the secret.

As soon as the game was released and for two months, the category was the most popular in the field, because, thanks to all these glitches, players perform times so short that it attracts the attention of the general public. The latest record is that of a Frenchman, seekerwhich completed Elden Ring in 5 minutes and 58 seconds, unheard of on a FromSoftware game!

However, it would seem that the trend is no longerAny% UnrestrictedOr just, that it is no longer possible to go below the 6-minute mark.

New records

It is on the side of Any% No Wrong Warp What are the records from now on! Once again, the Any% No Wrong Warpwhat’s this ? In this category, bugs are allowed, except those related to the game’s texture. Specifically, “zipping” is prohibited, and players cannot teleport or glitch through a wall. A monumental difference with the Any% Unrestricted so, that totally transforms the experience.

In this discipline, the current record is 48 minutes and 26 secondsa performance by Salty Sev.

Here, the player does not teleport, however he resorts to certain bugs such as drinking a potion or casting a certain spell to cushion a fall, or even using the backup glitches to cripple Morgott.

In this category newly at the center of the discipline on Elden Ring, records are posted every day on speedrun.com. We wonder if speedrun legends like Distortion2 or even Mitchriz will be able to break this exceptional record!

If you have completed Elden Ring and want to start from scratch, this mod to randomly position objects and enemies on the map should interest you. A whole new gaming experience awaits you in the Underworld!
