Elden Ring: Players are selling runes through a marketplace on eBay – Elden Ring

Runes are important in Elden Ring because they condition a lot of gameplay mechanics: they allow, among other things, to improve the levels and statistics of your character but also the purchase of items from merchants. As you will have understood, they are at the heart of the gaming experience. Moreover, some players have started selling runes illegally on the internet.

Indeed, for several days and as reported by the PC Gamer site, a market around the runes of Elden Ring was born on the famous eBay site. By doing a search on eBay, we can see that many players are currently selling runes for various sums. As of this writing, a pack of 7 million runes recently sold for, say, $29.99.

And if you’re wondering how it works, the process is relatively simple. After purchasing, players agree on a date, setting a location and time to meet at Elden Ring. The buyer invokes the seller. The latter thus deposits the runes, then the buyer recovers them. And the transaction is finalized.

Selling or buying runes illegally is not a good idea because players could come across scammers. Furthermore, this contradicts the terms of use of the game’s online services. For the moment, FromSoftware has not taken any measures or sanctions regarding these sales, but it could happen in the next few days or weeks.
