Because it is likely to launch the video game year 2022 on its own, it is an understatement to say that Elden Ring is awaited by players looking for new things. But how long will the adventure resist you?
For more than a decade now, Hidetaka Miyazaki and the teams at From Software have reigned supreme in the action-RPG genre that beats. Literally. But before seeing the best players string together runs without taking damage or challenging themselves at the limit of the improbable, it is necessary to complete the Elden Ring adventure for the first time.
Ring like silence is golden
Producer Yasuhiro Kitao took advantage of the Taipei Game Show 2022 to enlighten players eager to dive into the seemingly ruthless world of Elden Ring. The first good news is that development is finally over, and the game has officially gone Gold. After the postponement announced last October, just before a closed beta phase, this is likely to reassure us. Except end of the world or cataclysm from behind the bundles, Elden Ring will therefore be available on February 25 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The other (good) news therefore concerns the lifespan of the game. During the question and answer session of the Taipei Show 2022, Yasuhiro Kitao estimated that it would take about 30 hours to complete “the main road” of Elden Ring . Of course, this estimate will depend on the skill and curiosity of each player, since some areas of the game will be absolutely optional:
In reality, the world of Elden Ring is so vast that the game was thought to be completed without necessarily having explored everything. We have opted for freedom of choice, including in the order of progression. If an area is too difficult, just come back to it later.
You have been warned. So happy ? Let’s hope so, because Bandai Namco’s goals are very high: four million by the end of the fiscal year, March 31, 2022.
