Elden Ring: The game now exceeds 17.5 million copies sold

The nominees for Game of the Year 2022 at The Game Awards fell yesterday, and Elden Ring is unsurprisingly in the list. The title will certainly get the hang of it with God of War Ragnarok for the reward, but he won’t need the prize to show he’s been a hit. bandai namco revealed a few months ago that the game had reached the bar of 16.6 million copies sold. A quarter later, the game is slowly approaching another level.

Still impressive sales

Elden Ring can he aim for 20 million copies sold? Everything leads to believe it, because even if sales slowed considerably for this last quarter, the game now displays 17.5 million copies soldknowing that this figure stops at September 30th.

So that’s almost a million more copies in a quarter, and with the end of the year holidays approaching (not counting Black Friday), Elden Ring should certainly sell a few million more copies in the coming months. And that’s not counting the potential DLC that could further boost sales… The license is therefore indeed lucrative.
