Elden Ring: When the game invites itself into Tekken 7 via a mod, Katsuhiro Harada reacts

With the success ofElden Ringwe had to expect to see more or less improbable mods land for the game. But the title of bandai namco even gave inspiration to modders of other games, like Tekken 7. The modder Ultraboy has indeed set out to represent the iconic characters ofElden Ring in the fighting game, with stunning results. Perhaps even too bluffing, in any case for Katsuhiro Haradadirector and producer of Tekken 7.

Just a clarification

We let you admire the work of the modder in the video, but you will certainly also come to the conclusion that the work commands respect as we perfectly recognize the characters of the From Software game, with fighting styles that stick rather well to the personality of each, even if seeing Ranni spinning a few brushes is surprising (but Torrent in place of Kazumi’s tiger, we validate).

This video has been so well constructed that it has caused a lot of buzz in recent hours, to the point of being noticed by Katsuhiro Harada himself. And if he recognizes the effort, he prefers to ask that it stop :

Hm… Obviously Elden Ring is a Bandai Namco game, and I was in charge of the game as production general manager, so it’s not off topic… It’s a ridiculously well done mod but please stop »

If the tone used is that of humour, he still specifies why he is saying this. He then indicates that this mod is taken by many as an official collaborationas the result is well done, and that these people contact Bandai Namco and the other characters in charge of the two projects.

He points out that, of course, he won’t stop anyone from having fun on it and is absolutely not against mods, but just wanted to clear things up so that we stop linking him to this mod since he says he receives requests to fix issues with the mod, with which he has nothing to do.
