Electric vehicle: 123,347 charging points in France at the end of February (Avere France) – 03/08/2024 at 3:29 p.m.

(AOF) – “As of February 29, 2024, France had 123,347 charging points open to the public, which corresponds to an increase of 36% in their number in one year”. This is what Avere France affirms in the barometer that it carried out with the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion based on data from the specialized Gireve platform. “Despite a shorter month, there were therefore more installations in February than in January, namely 3,002 charging points (+2.49% growth)” specifies the National Association for the Development of electric mobility.

Avere notes, however, that the “rate of change over 12 months has fallen below 40% for the first time to reach +36%.” The availability of charging points seems to have stabilized at the start of this year. Year after year 2023 was marked by regular drops “to 81% in February 2024 with disparities depending on the power of the terminals”.
