It’s official, PlayStation UK announces its partnership witheLigue 1. As the official French Ligue 1 championship on FIFA 22 launches its sixth seasonlet us explain what this collaboration is all about!
What is eLigue 1?
Do you know Ligue 1 in the “real” world of football? This is the French Men’s Football Championship, during which, each year, all the teams from each city compete to win the title of French Champion.
eLigue 1 is simply Ligue 1 but virtually, on FIFA. Of course, it’s not the “real” players who play but esports teams, once again formed according to the different cities of France. All real teams are represented, from PSG to OM via FC Nantesand many others !
And the partnership with PlayStation then?
PlayStation France will actively support this sixth season of eLigue 1:
- All competition matches will be played exclusively on PlayStation 5 while last year they were played on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
- PlayStation France will also provide the clubs and will allow fans to win consoles.
- As part of the partnership, PlayStation France will also organize for football and Ligue 1 fans Uber Eats the “Fan Cups by eLigue 1”, online tournaments on FIFA 22 with many prizes to be won for participants.
The eLigue 1 2021/2022 edition will take place from March 1 to June 4 next and many lots and rewards will be distributed by PlayStation France to supporters. Kick off very soon!
