Usually the US show “Saturday Night Live” is presented by stars from show business. Now Tesla boss Elon Musk is allowed to run.

Elon Musk (49) will present the US show “Saturday Night Life” on May 8th. That’s what the makers of the format have on twitter proclaimed. Singer Miley Cyrus (28) will also appear as a music act. The Tesla boss also has his commitment in a tweet approved. He’s looking forward to finding out how “live” the show really is.

The host of an “SNL” edition meets the regular cast of the show and takes part in sketches. In addition, the celebrity has to give an opening monologue for the best. With a few exceptions such as Donald Trump (74), actors or musicians usually face the challenge. The fact that Musk, as a powerful CEO with little stage experience, took on the role, therefore already called critics on the scene after the announcement. On May 8th, Musk, who has already made guest appearances in films and TV shows such as “Iron Man 2” or “The Big Bang Theory”, has to prove his show talent.
