On June 29, many stars from the artistic field – like the actress Elsa Zylberstein (beautiful in a leather dress), the singer Amir, the humorist Anne Roumanoff or the singer Anggun and her husband – gathered in Paris for a common cause: to help children who suffer from war. An initiative led by the Elisecare association, which collaborated with the Olympia to organize a solidarity concert.
“Children are the forgotten ones of war and armed conflict. The Elisecare association puts at the heart of its actions women and children suffering from the repercussions of wars and forced displacement (child soldiers, street children orphans and/or victims of sex trafficking) in the countries where it operates (Iraq, Syria, Armenia, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Ukraine). The recent war in Ukraine, on Europe’s doorstep, has shown a massive outpouring of solidarity and aid” can we read on the official website of the show room.
Helping victims “to rebuild themselves”
According to the “helloasso” website, all the funds raised during this evening contributed to ” medical care for child victims of violence and torture, setting up psychotherapeutic workshops in the form of various activities (artistic, sports, musical, etc.) to help victims rebuild and reintegrate society, as well as the implementation of individualized support allowing the reintegration of children on the way to school“.
Other major public figures, such as the singers André Manoukian and Pomme as well as the journalist Elsa Wolinski, answered the call for this exceptional event. Note that a completely identical evening had already taken place last year, still at the Olympia and still to support children suffering from the repercussions of the war.
