Thursday June 2, 2022, Elton John wanted to make things clear, a day after the publication of photos showing him weakened in a wheelchair, at Leipzig airport.
Wednesday, June 1, 2022, the DailyMail shared a exclusive photo of Elton John. On the picture, massively reshared, the 75-year-old singer looked puny, in a wheelchair, while at Leipzig Airport, Germany. The photo was taken on Friday May 27 when the interpreter of I’m Still Standing had to go to Nice.
A cliche that had quickly worried his fans especially the British. Indeed, Elton John is expected Saturday, June 4 on the stage of the BBC Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee. Faced with all this worry, the star had to explain their state of health to silence rumours.
Elton John reassures his fans: “I’m at the top of my game”.
Thursday, June 2, Elton John posted a photo on Instagram and first of all denounced the British tabloids for their interpretation of his state of health before confiding: “The real story is that I’m at the top of my game, I love my shows and I play and sing better than ever. Every night I give 100% and I never want to disappoint, especially after everyone has waited so long to see concerts again. Your reactions after each concert are phenomenal and I appreciate every moment“.
He then held on to explain how to use the wheelchair. Indeed, he said that he had just left a concert of 2 hours and a half before arriving at the airport of Leipzig. On the spot, he noticed that part of the airport was closed and that he had a very long distance to travel to get to his plane. “My team kindly used a wheelchair so that I could rest my hip after the concert. That’s all friends!” he concluded. So everything is going well for the international star.
