Embracer Group has bought up a bunch of studios in recent years, but now it’s a crisis. The Swedish giant has been in the process of restructuring since this summer, it has already closed Volition (Saints Row) and would like to get rid of Gearbox Entertainment (Borderlands). Layoffs which concern in particular the associate producer Misia Bloniarz, theassociate graphic artist Jill Hollet or quality assurance manager Erin McIntyre.

Information quickly obscured by another announcement of layoffs, which concerns Crystal Dynamicsdeveloper of tomb Raider and sold by Square Enix in May 2022. Nine employees are being fired today, including communications director Adam Kahn, Community Manager Neha Nair and the senior brand manager Nicholas Edwards. Crystal Dynamics made the bad news official on social networksciting “an internal restructuring aimed at aligning the studio with our current business needs”.

The studio is developing as a reminder a new game tomb Raider below Unreal Engine 5 edited by Amazon Gameswhile helping The Initiative on the reboot of Perfect Dark.
