(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of Emerald JV Holdings (Emerson) by Blackstone, both Americans.
Emerson owns Emerson Electric’s stand-alone commercial and residential climate technology businesses, which include a portfolio of products and services in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industries.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise any competition concerns, given the absence of horizontal overlaps and vertical links between the companies’ activities in the European Economic Area.
