(AOF) – Emirates, an international airline, announced a series of contracts awarded to Safran, with a total value of more than $1.2 billion. This partnership includes a billion-dollar contract for Safran to supply the latest generation of seats for the new fleet of Airbus A350s and Boeing 777-9s and for Emirates’ existing Boeing 777-300s. The agreement provides for the delivery of Business, Premium Economy and Economy class seats to equip Emirates Airbus A350s, and Business and Economy class seats for Boeing 777-9s.
The new seats will offer a number of improvements in terms of comfort, privacy and convenience. Thus, these seats will notably offer larger spaces for passengers and a wider range of cutting-edge features.
This contract represents a major export contract for a French company and is part of Emirates’ ongoing investments in France and Europe.
