Emmanuel Macron met this Wednesday morning the first Council of Ministers after a summer break. In an interview, which will be published in the columns of the newspaper “Le Point” in the evening, the Head of State will detail the outlines of his “major political initiative”.

Emmanuel Macron met this Wednesday morning the first Council of Ministers after a summer break. At the exit, neither family photo, nor report by government spokesman Olivier Véran to mark the recovery, the Head of State chose to kick off this return to the press.
Detail the “major political initiative”
The ministers left the Élysée one after the other this Wednesday noon. During the Council of Ministers, Emmanuel Macron took stock with his government of the management of the heat wave. The Head of State will give the real kick-off of this return to the press since a long interview granted to the weekly Point will be posted on Wednesday evening. The president will give details in particular of the “major political initiative” he promised. These famous meetings with all the political forces known as the “Republican Arc” to try to move forward on common subjects.
Difficulties are piling up
In this interview, the president also charts the course in the longer term, insist his relatives, despite the difficulties that accumulate. Difficulties on the budgetary level, since the government has made financial seriousness its priority and it will be difficult to pass the budget. As well as political difficulties too, because there is still no majority in the National Assembly. To move forward on certain sensitive issues such as immigration, the government will still have to face the threat of a motion of censure.
