Socio-sporting educators are “passengers of the Republic”, he said. “There are clubs, volunteers, coaches, leaders, teams who, with very little, simply succeed in making people dream, in creating champions, but in building citizens,” he said. -he adds. “From 2024, we will finance 1,000 clubs in 500 cities so that they recruit and train 1,000 social and sports educators, with aid of 20,000 euros per club and a duration of three years to give visibility,” announced The head of state.

“From next year, we will open these 1,000 positions. These educators will have the dual skills of supervising sports activities and integration through sport,” he said. More than 50 million euros in new credits will be put on the table “by 2026”. At this stage, 500 coaches have been trained to support young people in building their individual project.

More than 20,000 people benefited from this type of integration action in 2022. By 2027, 100,000 should be affected each year, indicated Emmanuel Macron. The Head of State also pointed out the precariousness of many volunteer sports educators, compensated with “pieces of string” such as “match bonuses”, “without social security”.

“Specific work mission”

A “specific work mission” will be responsible for making proposals from the “beginning of 2024” in order to build a “status for all sports educators and clubs” working in this area, he said. for follow-up.
