Emmanuel Macron’s first 100 days: “It’s a policy of social brutality”, denounces Adrien Quatennens

Emmanuel Macron “celebrated” the first 100 days of his second five-year term on Tuesday. And the least we can say is that his record is widely denounced by the opposition. “Emmanuel Macron announced the color: pension reform and unemployment insurance. It is a policy of social brutality which is also ecologically irresponsible”, denounces Adrien Quatennens this Wednesday morning on Europe 1.

“It’s a continuity”

But the deputy from the North is not surprised by the line chosen by Emmanuel Macron: “On the line of the President of the Republic, a deep continuity. I think that was heard during the interviews he gave, but it can be seen in the texts that pass in the Assembly”, launches the coordinator of France insubordinate.

He even goes further and denounces the purchasing power package voted overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in the Senate, saying “that Emmanuel Macron has chosen, it is the French who will pay” and regrets that the Head of State does not make “those who have the most contribute. For example ‘the big profiteers of the crisis’, he himself calls them that, certain large companies, it is not possible. It is a trajectory that remains the same”, adds Adrien Quatennens on Europe 1.

A beginning of change in the hemicycle?

But the deputy of Nupes sees an ounce of change since the legislative elections: “What changes, on the other hand, that is clear, it is what is happening in the Assembly. The era of Parliament, single chamber registration of the desires of the President of the Republic, the one that prevailed in the former five-year term, this one is over. Moreover, now, as we can see, there are votes which are extremely tight, which can lose ” , he assures.

A change that can quickly be swept away, regrets Adriens Quatennens: “On the other hand, I observe that Emmanuel Macron is gradually succeeding in having his majority with the Republicans and even sometimes the National Rally”.
