Employees infected – Corona cluster in children’s hospital: OPs postponed

Ten employees of the St. Anna Children’s Hospital in Vienna were infected with the corona virus. Employees from two stations tested positive and placed in quarantine. “The majority of those affected were vaccinated,” emphasized a hospital spokesman. Interventions that can also be carried out later have been postponed because of the illnesses. However, acute operations are carried out, the rest of the hospital operations are not restricted.

It was said that none of the patients and their relatives were infected. The sick employees are on the mend. The hospital hoped to be able to return to normal operations in the coming week.

According to the spokesman, the Covid vaccination rate for around 500 employees is currently 95 percent. The areas in which the now infected employees are active has not been disclosed.
