Energica, the Italian manufacturer of electric motorcycles, has just unveiled the Experia, a model dedicated to travel which carries a 22.5 kWh battery. Enough to last more than 400 km in town.
The Italian manufacturer of electric motorcycles Energica, which specializes in super sports since it supplies two-wheelers for the Moto E championship, has unveiled its new Experia Green Tourer. Its particularity is to carry the largest battery capacity among all electric motorcycles.
Based in Modena, Energica currently offers a range of sporty electric motorcycles, including the entry-level Eva EsseEsse9, the Eva Ribelle and its sporty equivalent, the Ego, spearheading the brand developing 126 kW (168 hp). ). The Experia Green Tourer is, according to the manufacturer, a travel motorcycle based on a new architecture.
Its engine has a power of 80 continuous horsepower and can peak at 102 horsepower. The torque is given for 11.7 mkg, barely less than the LiveWire for example. The trellis frame is new and the assembly is designed, according to the manufacturer, to “reduce weight”. Indeed, the latter amounts to 260 kg, in particular because of the 22.5 kWh battery, larger than on most electric motorcycles. As a reminder, the Zero SR, for example, must be equipped with an optional Power Tank to go up to 20.9 kWh.
Thanks to the capacity of its battery, this Energica Experia Green Tourer promises more than 420 km of autonomy in the city, and nearly 200 km on the expressway.
The manufacturer also announces a fast charge from 0 to 80% in 40 minutes thanks to an optional Fast Charge DCFC Level 3 charger (gain of 6.7 km / min). In standard charging, the Experia is equipped with a Slow Charge Level 2 Mode 2 charger for a gain of 63.5 km per hour of charging.
The Energica Experia Green Tourer announces interesting performances with a maximum speed of 180 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h reached in 3.5 s. It is also equipped with a TFT color screen for managing six levels of Traction Control, cruise control, seven personalized driving profiles, four driving modes and four regenerative braking modes. A priori, a reverse gear is also available. As a good traveler, it is also equipped with luggage allowing you to carry 112 liters of volume.
