After several months of work, the energy sobriety plan will be presented by the government on Thursday, October 6th. The cabinet of the Minister for Energy Transition Agnès Pannier-Runacher confirmed this to the Figaro this Wednesday.
For now, very few details have been given on the format of this presentation. Monday, at the end of the Council of Ministers, Agnès Pannier-Runacher contented herself with affirming that she would present with Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne “the plan built by the living forces of our country, […] and on this occasion we will also present the state sobriety plan“.

According to BFMTV, this presentation should take the form of a press conference at the Ministry of Energy Transition, in which a large number of ministers should participate. The sobriety plan, on which the executive has been working since the end of June and aimed at reducing France’s energy consumption by 10% within two years (electricity, gas, fuel), has the ambition of embrace almost all sections of French society.

The result of the work of the nine working groups
In total, nine working groups have been launched in recent weeks to develop sobriety measures adapted to each sector: State, companies, establishments open to the public and commercial areas, housing, digital and telecommunications, local authorities, sports, transport, industry. .
It is therefore likely that the ministers responsible for all the sectors concerned will take part in the presentation of the sobriety plan next Thursday. We think for example of Stanislas Guerini for the State sobriety plan, Clément Beaune for transport, Olivier Dussopt for companies, Olivier Klein for housing, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra for sports or Roland Lescure for industry. Olivia Grégoire, who leads the working group on establishments open to the public and commercial surfaces, will be present, confirmed to the Figaro his office.

Four days later, on October 10, must then be launched a communication campaign aimed at the general public on eco-gestures. Under the motto “Every gesture counts“, this campaign must allow “to make the French people aware of the most effective actions to reduce their consumption“, declared Agnès Pannier-Runacher on September 15 during a press conference.
