(CercleFinance.com) – Enertime, a French ‘CleanTech’ company serving industrial energy efficiency and the production of geothermal and biomass energy, announces that it has signed a €3.8 million contract with SUEZ for the installation of an ORC of 1.7 MWe.
This installation is intended to produce electricity by recovering the heat produced by the Carrières-sur-Seine energy recovery unit during periods when this heat is not recovered in the urban heat network.
An ORC can indeed make it possible to recover the heat contained in the fumes of incineration ovens to convert it into electricity. To do this, an exchanger is installed on the fumes.
Commissioning of the machine is planned for April 2025.
