Eni: agreement in biofuels with two airports


(CercleFinance.com) – Eni announced on Tuesday the signing with SEA, the operator of Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate airports, of an agreement aimed at decarbonizing the aviation sector.

The two groups, which had concluded a collaboration in December 2021 relating to the supply of biofuels for business aviation, indicate that the scope of the agreement will be extended to commercial flights.

In parallel, Eni will supply Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) for ground transportation operations at both airports.

Eni, which is now the second largest producer of fuel from renewable sources in Europe, has set itself the objective of producing around 200,000 tonnes of biofuels for aviation per year by 2024, before doubling its production. production by 2020.
