(CercleFinance.com) – Eni announces that Matrica, a joint venture between Versalis (Eni) and Novamont, is joining forces with LANXESS to produce sustainable preservatives from renewable raw materials.
Thus, from January 2022, the Matrìca plant in Porto Torres (Sardinia) will supply LANXESS with biosourced raw materials based on vegetable oils which will then be used by LANXESS to expand its range of Preventol industrial preservatives.
With this partnership, the two companies aim to significantly advance the production of sustainable preservatives and meet growing market demand.
Eni specifies that the new Preventol preservatives are intended for consumer products such as household cleaners, laundry and dish care products as well as paints and coatings.
