Elizabeth II’s son, known for his “bling-bling” side and close to his mother, will finally have to appear in New York court in the Jeffrey Epstein case, after his attempt to quash the sexual assault charges against him.

An American judge on Wednesday rejected a request for annulment of the proceedings against the member of the royal family. In 2019, Epstein, a sulphurous American financier, was indicted for sexual exploitation against dozens of minors. The millionaire took his own life behind bars in August of the same year, a month after his incarceration. On December 30, it was the turn of the former right-hand man and lover of the pedophile, Ghislaine Maxwell, to be convicted of several sexual crimes, including that of trafficking in young girls. The 60-year-old Briton faces sixty-five years in prison. His sentence should be known in the coming weeks.
