(AOF) – Claranova, a global technology company, announces the appointment of Eric Gareau as Chief Executive Officer, with immediate effect. He succeeds Pierre Cesarini, who is leaving the company. Eric Gareau has been CEO of Avanquest, Claranova’s software publishing and distribution division, since 2021. He led Avanquest’s transition to a subscription sales business model, making the company the largest contributor to operating profit of Claranova.
Eric Gareau joined Claranova in 2018 upon the acquisition of Lulu Software (PDF), of which he was CEO since its creation in 2009.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles in software and consumer goods sales and marketing. Canadian citizen, Eric Gareau, 51, graduated from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He will also remain CEO of Avanquest.
