The Sims 5 may tremble, its serious competitor continues to impress

The Sims 5 has not yet been released and it already has problems with this big competitor who has all the cards in hand to succeed. This is what we know for the moment.

Krafton, the studio behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, recently revealed the development roadmap and key features of its upcoming life simulation game, InZoi. Although the precise launch date has not been announced, this information gives us a detailed overview of the innovations that this Sims 5 competitor intends to introduce.

InZoi vs The Sims 5

Among the features announced, we find the presence of cars, group activities, a Karma system, a city editing mode, as well as a Studio. Zois, humanized characters in the game, will not only be able to drive or be passengers in cars, but also interact with other Zois in various group activities. The Karma system represents a particular innovation: the past actions of Zois will influence their future and the way they are perceived by others.

City Edit mode will allow players to customize urban elements such as billboards, the weather or the cleanliness of the city. At the same time, the Zois sharing service seems to be inspired by The Sims 4 Gallery, promoting a creative exchange between players.

The Studio offers the ability to create and recreate specific scenarios, while the high-resolution photo mode promises to make it easier to share vibrant screenshots. Hyungjun Kim, producer and director of InZoi, encouraged fans to continue providing diverse and candid feedback via social media and the game’s Discord, emphasizing the importance of community in the game’s development.

InZoi isn’t the only game trying to compete with The Sims. Other titles like Paralives and especially Life By You are also in development. Life By You will also be available from June 4, 2024. These newcomers promise to enrich the genre of life simulations with innovative approaches and features, marking an exciting period for fans of this type of game.
