Eric McCormack and Janet Holden caused a stir with a joint appearance at Elton John’s Oscar party.
Eric McCormack (60) and his wife Janet Holden attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Oscar party in 2024 together despite their alleged ongoing divorce.
They were also photographed by the photographers: in their elegant outfits – he in a black tuxedo, she in a silver sequin dress with long gloves – they posed arm in arm, smiling together. The two were even seen holding hands, reports People.
During the celebratory meal, the two also sat at a table – including Heidi Klum (50) and Tom Kaulitz (34), as photos show. After this appearance, it is more than questionable whether the separation between the two is still current.
Janet Holden filed for divorce from the “Will & Grace” star in November last year after 26 years of marriage. The reason given was “irreconcilable differences”, as “TMZ” quoted from court documents. The application was submitted in Los Angeles one day before Thanksgiving. In the documents, the director is said to have filed for spousal support and requested that the court terminate McCormack’s right to spousal support.
Secret affair on the set of “Path into the Wild”
The couple met in 1994 on the set of the CBS television series “Away to the Wild.” McCormack played Colonel Francis Clay Mosby, while Holden worked as an assistant director. They married in August 1997 and had their first child, son Finnigan Holden McCormack (21), in 2002.
McCormack discussed their initially secret romance on set a few years ago on social media. In 2020, the actor posted on the occasion of his wife’s birthday a photo from the time they met on Instagram. “Coincidentally, this was our ‘coming out’ party,” he wrote. And further: “Nobody on the show knew that we had been together for months.”
