Eric Zemmour condemns the video of his supporters targeting Macron and LFI

Eric Zemmour “condemned” Wednesday a video in which two individuals claiming to be their supporters train shooting and in particular imagine targeting Emmanuel Macron and elected Insoumis, and for which an investigation has been opened. “You are neither one of my supporters nor of my militants, and even less of my friends. I condemn in advance everything you do in my name during my campaign. I do not want your support or your help, ”wrote the presidential candidate in a press release.

The videos, revealed on Twitter by the Young Guard, an anti-fascist group, and by Mediapart, show a man wearing a “Ben voir” cap, a tic in the language of Eric Zemmour erected as a slogan by his fans, exercising with a sniper rifle. “Well let’s see friends, who are we going to bust?” Of the young gaucho, of the young communist, of the young mental bougnoule ”, laughs the young man, before firing with a big caliber. Rifle in play, he then mimics surprise – “Ah, Emmanuel Macron! »- and fires a second shot.

Open investigation

In another video shot at the same location, another young man targets the former spokesperson for La France rebellious Raquel Garrido. Rifle in hand, he explains “training to hunt wild Garrido” before firing and then firing a second time, evoking her husband, the LFI deputy Alexis Corbière. In the same sequence, the man openly imagines himself shooting “anti-fas and leftists”, as well as people of North African origin. “There are Algerian and Moroccan flags, I saw there, so we will hasten to shoot,” he blurted out.

According to the newspaper Release, who had access to his private Instagram account, he presented himself there until very recently as “military” and “Catholic”. An investigation was opened by the National Pole against online hatred (PNLH), for “death threats and incitement to racial hatred”, told Agence France-Presse the Paris prosecutor’s office. A police source said Tuesday that “the Pharos platform, responsible for the fight against illegal content on the Internet, (had) been seized after reports from Internet users”.

A “pitiful spectacle” committed by “a miserable handful” of “idiots”

In his press release, Eric Zemmour is indignant at a “pitiful spectacle” committed by “a miserable handful” of “idiots”, drawing a parallel with “hooligans”, who “do not go to the stadium for the beauty of the game, but for violence ”. LFI deputy Alexis Corbière and Raquel Garrido announced Tuesday that they had filed a complaint for “death threats and provocation to the commission of a crime”. “Today, the entire online fascosphere is targeting us one after the other, with a clear risk of taking action,” Raquel Garrido worried during a press conference in Marseille.

Eric Zemmour responded to the two rebels by inviting them to “(do) the same thing as (him): definitively denounce the antifas who harass me”, and which are, according to him, “thousands”. “Declare publicly that you condemn them without appeal, whatever they do”, he continued, estimating that “the violence was always on the side of the extreme left, never of (his)”.
