Guest of the special presidential election device Thursday on Europe Matin, Eric Zemmour returned to his proposal to remove the SRU law on urban solidarity and renewal. He said the whole country faces problems of excessive immigration and that the “big replacement” affects even rural France.

“‘The big replacement’ affects all of France. The nuisance of immigration affects all of France. There is insecurity today even in rural areas. I was recently told that there is an epidemic, if I dare say, agricultural GPS thefts by gangs from Romania or Lithuania. So it exists everywhere, “he explained.

A law that “spreads immigration”

According to him, even the villages face “problems of excessive immigration”. This is the reason why he wants to remove the SRU law. “This law which obliges all cities to provide social housing at 25% spreads immigration. This is why I am proposing the abolition of the SRU law”, posed the candidate for the presidential election. The SRU law, passed in 2000, notably imposes on municipalities a minimum quota of social housing.
