Ericsson: will modernize the network of Bluesky


(CercleFinance.com) – Bluesky and Ericsson are teaming up to upgrade Bluesky’s network and bring 5G to customers in American Samoa. Ericsson will upgrade the existing core network, radios and other equipment.

Ericsson announced today that it will partner with Bluesky, a provider of telecommunications and network services in the US territory of American Samoa, to provide equipment and services to upgrade their network in the region.

“We are committed to investing in upgrades that allow us to modernize our offerings and prepare our networks for 5G,” said Justin Tuiasosopo, CEO of Bluesky.

“We are thrilled to partner with Bluesky as the company seeks to modernize its network and bring high-quality connectivity to the American Samoa community,” said Eric Boudriau, vice president and customer unit manager. Regional Carriers, Ericsson North America.

The rollout will begin at the end of 2022.
