That could have ended far worse for a 29-year-old driver: the driver of the car ended up in a forest in Sautens (Imst district) in Tyrol on Thursday morning. Instead of getting help, the man fled. A passer-by sounded the alarm hours later.
The accident happened around 6 a.m., according to police. The accident driver was coming from Roppen on a municipal road when he got off the road in Sautens in a right-hand bend – the reason for this was initially unclear. As a result, the man’s car fell about 20 meters into a forest. The 29-year-old was able to free himself from the wreck and left the scene of the accident.
