Since season 1 of “Escort Boys” went online last Friday on Prime Video, one actor seems to stand out from the crowd: Simon Ehrlacher! Discover the atypical journey of the interpreter of the character of Mathias.
Prime Video has decided to warm up the end-of-year holidays. This Friday, December 22, the platform put online the first season of Escort Boys, a sulphurous, funny and touching series created by Ruben Alves (La Cage Dorée, Miss).
Loosely adapted from an Israeli fiction, Escort Boys follows four friends who find themselves, by chance, selling their bodies in order to get out of their respective troubles. Among these uninhibited boys is Simon Ehrlacher, alias Mathias, an actor with an intermittent career whose face is perhaps not unknown to fans of television series.
The bad boy of Cœur Océan
It was in 2007 that Simon Ehrlacher took his first steps as an actor when he obtained a leading role in season 2 of Coeur Océan, a youth series broadcast in the summer on France 2.
There he played Melvin, Lena and Pierre’s cousin, freshly released from prison, who will very quickly seduce young Daphné (Caroline Guérin). However, he left the series at the end of season 4 in 2010.
After making appearances in fiction, he was chosen in 2012 to play in Les Revenants, the successful Original Creation of Canal+ where he plays a policeman who witnesses the strange events affecting the local population.
The same year, the public saw him in Yann Piat, chronicle of an assassination, a biopic directed by Antoine de Caunes. Unfortunately, after this promising start to his career, Simon Ehrlacher decided to disappear from the radar to devote himself to jiu-jitsu, a sport that he would practice at a professional level and that he would teach.
A shattering return in Plus belle la vie
It was almost ten years later, in 2021, that he returned to television. He joins the daily France 3 soap opera, Plus belle la vie, and lends his features to Doctor Romain Vidal. A role which will allow him to make himself known to the general public, and which will give a boost to his career.
Following the end of the series in 2022, he was chosen to star in the Disney+ series Irresistible alongside Camélia Jordana, which was put online last September on the American platform.
A few months later, it was on Prime Video that he made a sensational entrance on the occasion of the release online of the first season of Escort Boys, where he was notably able to give the answer to renowned actresses like Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl) or Rossy De Palma.
Soon to be featured in the TF1 event series
And Simon Ehrlacher is not about to stop since he will soon be starring in Cat’s Eyes, the TF1 event series which is currently filming. In this adaptation of the cult animated series from the 80s, he will lend his features to the boyfriend of Sylia, one of the three heroines played by Constance Labbé, who is none other than the little sister of Guillaume Labbé, her playing partner in Escort Boys. The circle is complete !
