A serum for NFT Bored Ape
Taylor gerring, the co-founder of the Ethereum blockchain, spent $ 3.5 million to procure a ‘mega mutant serum’, allowing him to transform a non-fungible token (NFT) copy from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection ( BAYC) into a “mutant Ape”, thus gaining in scarcity and therefore in value.
The lucky buyer tweeted yesterday to announce that he would film the transformation of his NFT live, without specifying the date.
Working on plans to livestream the Mega reveal. Stay tuned for updates!

Note that the seller of the serum had initially obtained it so totally free since it was a reward for holders of NFTs Bored Ape Yacht Club.

Increasingly rare NFTs
BAYC were born in April 2021, and their buyers were rewarded via an airdrop in August with mutant sera divided into 3 categories: M1, M2 and M3, in order of rarity.
These sera allow, once added to the original NFT, to add different characteristics and give it a specific visual appearance.

On the day of the airdrop, BAYC accumulated $ 96 million in revenue in an hour just by selling 10,000 copies of mutant monkeys, along with the 10,000 sera distributed to first buyers.
In the case of Taylor Gerring, it is a category serum “M3”, which is therefore the rarest, and which will allow him to sell (if he wishes) his mutant monkey at a high price.
Exploding prices
We already told you about it a few days ago, the price of BAYC NFTs has surpassed that of the pioneers in the field, the famous CryptoPunks.
The popularity of NFTs representing these monkey profiles continues to grow, garnering ever greater sales volumes:

Having already proven to us that they want to display a close link with their community, it is a safe bet that the popularity of BAYC NFTs continues to grow, especially with the announcement of their 2.0 roadmap in September of this year.
A popularity that goes as far as interest world famous stars since personalities like Post Malone, Stephen Curry, Jimmy Fallon or Steve Aoki have themselves publicly announced that they have bought copies of these monkeys.
After the announcement of the partnership with sports brand Adidas and the launch of a token next year, 2022 is likely to be a big year for Bored Ape owners.
