The shock “Euphoria” returns with a season 2 from this January 10 on OCS. Still worn by Zendaya, Sam Levinson’s series is eagerly awaited. Here’s what you need to know.
After two special episodes filmed and released while the whole world was confined, Euphoria returns. Its season 2 arrives almost three years after the premiere, which was acclaimed by critics and the public. Straight out of the successes of Dune and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Zendaya reunites with her tortured character of Rue, which won her the Emmy Award for Best Actress.
WHAT WILL SEASON 2 BE ABOUT?
As she continues to fight her addictions, Rue returns to Narcotics Anonymous where she met her sponsor and friend Ali, played by Colman Domingo. She also crosses paths with Jules, played by Hunter Schafer, after a difficult separation at the end of season 1.
The complex relationship between the two heroines continues to develop as Rue meets a new character, Elliot – played by Dominic Fike -. The heroine will recognize herself in the personality of the young man who burns the candle at both ends. Very quickly, Rue will relapse into his addiction and trigger a cataclysm that could put his life in danger.
FROM AND WITH WHOM?
Fans rest assured: creator and director Sam Levinson is also back at the helm of this season 2. Son of filmmaker Barry Levinson, he has managed to give the series a real visual identity thanks to his ingenious staging and his dreamlike images. Before directing the two special episodes of the series, he also directed Zendaya in the film. Malcolm & Marie, available on Netflix.
Casting side, all the original actors are there: Zendaya and Hunter schafer of course, but also Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweeney, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow and Angus Cloud.

Three new characters join the series. The first, Elliot, is played by Dominic Fike, who is also a successful singer-songwriter. Euphoria signs her first role in a fiction. The other two protagonists are played by Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) and Demetrius ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory Jr. (Black Mafia Family).
WHERE AND WHEN TO SEE IT?
Less than 24 hours after its release in the United States, the first chapter ofEuphoria season 2 will be available in France on January 10 from 9 a.m. on the OCS platform. Seven other episodes will follow, at the rate of one episode per week. We will have to be patient.
