(CercleFinance.com) – Falling by more than 37% since January 1, Eurofins Scientific should have suffered one of the worst performances among the components of the CAC40 in 2022, significantly underperforming a flagship Parisian index that has fallen at this stage of just under 9%.
The action of the bio-analysis service provider suffered from the repercussions of the passing to the background of the health crisis, largely overshadowed by other major subjects of concern, such as the war in Ukraine.
Eurofins Scientific had indeed been one of the big winners of the Covid-19 pandemic, thanks to the strong demand for its diagnostic tests: from 50 euros at the end of 2019, the title climbed to peak around 125 euros in September. 2021.
Last October, Eurofins indicated that it planned to update its objectives for 2023 and 2024 when publishing its 2022 results, hoping by then more clarity on the war in Ukraine, supply problems or even to inflation.
