(CercleFinance.com) – In its monthly update, Euronext indicated on Friday evening that its number of daily spot transactions (cash, excluding fixed income) fell by 20% in December 2022 compared to the previous month, to just under 2.39 million.
Expressed in value, cash transactions on the places of the pan-European group represented nearly 9.5 billion euros per day over the last month of the past year, a decrease of 13% compared to November.
Thus, cash transactions represented 645.5 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2022, down 20% year-on-year, i.e. a total for the whole of last year of 3,006 billion, almost stable (- 1%) compared to 2021.
