Europe: Europe in the green with “tech” and Nvidia


PARIS (Reuters) – The main European stock markets are moving higher at the start of the session, driven by the technology segment after good results from Nvidia and by several company publications in Europe.

In Paris, the CAC 40 gained 1.11% to 7,898.86 points around 08:25 GMT. In London, the FTSE 100 gained 0.3% and in Frankfurt, the Dax advanced 1.41%.

The EuroStoxx 50 index is up 1.54%, the FTSEurofirst 300 is up 0.89% and the Stoxx 600 is up 0.84%.

Highly anticipated, Nvidia, an American chip giant that has become a star value in the AI ​​theme, did not disappoint expectations and unveiled on Wednesday evening a turnover forecast higher than expectations for the current quarter, which increased its title in electronic transactions.

The Stoxx technology index gained 3.64% following the progression of futures on the Nasdaq and the 34-year record on the Nikkei.

In terms of values, the results of Danone (+2%), Accor (+3.92%), Engie (+2.58%) and Axa (+3.96%) are praised by the market. Those of WPP (-0.99%) and Nestlé (-4.59%) are sanctioned.
