In addition to being French, being eighteen years old the day before polling day and being domiciled in the municipality where you wish to vote, it is essential to respect another condition to place your ballot in the ballot box: be registered on the electoral lists.

For this, French people have two options:

  • Online until May 1;
  • In town hall until May 3.

Via the Internet, simply go to the public services website dedicated to this process, log in and provide the information and documents requested. The government platform asks in particular to provide an identity document and proof proving a link with the voting municipality in PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG format.

At the town hall, fellow citizens must complete the application form for registration on the electoral lists (cerfa 12669*02) and attach a photocopy of an identity document and proof of address.

In addition to being able to vote in your municipality for the European elections on June 9, 2024, registering on the lists allows you to receive electoral propaganda in order to find out about the different programs of political groups wishing to obtain places in the European Parliament.
