You keep your fingers crossed for Olympic teams
Prince William and other royals hope for successful games for their Olympic teams.

Prince William and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands send motivating messages to the Olympic teams in their home countries.
With the opening ceremony this Friday, the Olympic Games in Tokyo officially started on July 23. The Royals insisted on giving their good wishes to the athletes competing in their respective country for the upcoming competitions.
“Good luck to #TeamNL! Even if we can’t be in Tokyo, we will watch the games and we believe in your success,” said the Dutch royal couple in an Instagram post. Have a lot of fun. The Dutch King Willem-Alexander (54) also attended an Olympic celebration in The Hague on Friday. The “TeamNL Olympic Festival” will take place there until August 8th, where everything revolves around the Olympics and numerous sports can be tried out, they say in another post of the royal family.
Princess Anne has been there herself before
In an Instagram story, Prince William (39) and his wife, Duchess Kate (39), wish the team from Great Britain every success in Tokyo. “Even if they are not like previous games, enjoy it and we know that you will make the nation proud,” said the British royals on the special competitions under Corona conditions. “I and the whole nation will cheer and proudly support you from home,” added Princess Anne (70) in a tweet on. She is President of the British Olympic Association and a member of the International Olympic Committee. In 1976 the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II (95) took part in the games as an eventing rider in Montreal herself.
Due to the corona pandemic, the Danish Crown Prince Frederik (53) was unable to travel to Tokyo. Because of the contact with a corona-infected person and stricter entry regulations, the royal had to forego the trip, as the palace announced on July 19th. So he had to take part in his last general assembly virtually as an active member of the IOC, just like him on Instagram betrayed.
He had already announced his resignation in June. “In the coming weeks I look forward to following the performance of the Danish athletes from a distance,” he continues on Instagram. With the European Football Championship and the success of Jonas Vingegaard (24) in the Tour de France, Denmark has already got in the right mood for the Olympic Games.
