European stock markets ended lower on Thursday, swept away by pessimism on Wall Street after the announcement of an upward revision to US GDP growth in the third quarter.

The Paris Stock Exchange lost 0.95% to 6,517.97 points, Frankfurt lost 1.30% and London 0.37%. Trading volumes are low during this holiday season, which can amplify the variations.
