European stock markets ended higher on Thursday, delighted by the optimistic tone from the Bank of England and still buoyed by the prospect of central banks lowering rates this year.

The Dax index of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange ended up 1.02% and reached a new record during the session (18,699.29 points) and at the close (18,686.60 points). Just like the FTSE 100 index in London, which gained 0.33% and now displays 8,396.25 points as its session high and 8,381.35 points as its closing high. Paris increased by 0.69%.
