European stock markets ended lower on Tuesday, cooled by higher than expected employment costs in the United States, and as the monetary policy meeting of the American central bank (Fed) begins.

The Paris Stock Exchange lost 0.99% and that of Frankfurt 1.03%, while London held up better (-0.04%). Over the month, Paris lost 2.69%, after five consecutive months of gains, just like Frankfurt, which lost 3.03% in April. Only the London market shows a monthly gain of 2.41%.
