European stocks opened higher on Monday awaiting US inflation data, with investors keeping in mind the possibility of strong monetary tightening from the US central bank (Fed).

Frankfurt opened up 0.95%, Paris 0.59% and London took 0.76% in early trading. Last week, European indices made gains despite worries about geopolitical tensions in Asia and fears of recession linked to the prospect of significant increases in the Fed’s key rates.
