European stock markets open lower, concerns over China

European stock markets started Thursday’s session down slightly, preparing to end a gloomy year on the wrong foot, in the face of economic concerns linked to the surge in Covid cases in China.

The Paris Stock Exchange opened down 0.37% to 6,486.65 points. Frankfurt yielded 0.25%, Milan 0.34% and London 0.61% in the first exchanges.
