Flick has more than just an exit option
There are increasing signs that Hansi Flick, the celebrated successful coach of the past season, is looking for the jump from Bayern. Or at least accept it. So far, the way out of the federal coaching office seems to be the exit strategy. But that may be too short-sighted.
The rumors of an end to Hansi Flick’s involvement with FC Bayern are picking up speed on the day after the Champions League. Apparently not only the DFB is interested in the successful coach of the German record champions – and the club management is busy with Julian Nagelsmann with two other potential successors for Flick, including ex-BVB coach Thomas Tuchel.
Hansi Flick spoke more openly than ever, even if it was still in a lot of clauses, after the bitter quarter-final in the Champions League at Paris Saint-Germain about a possible departure from FC Bayern. For the first time, the 56-year-old football teacher explicitly included a possible change to the DFB in his public deliberations. There, Flick is the ideal solution for the successor to national coach Joachim Löw, who will leave his post after the EM in the summer.
Spicy: Not only the association, which is once again urgently dependent on good news, has its eye on Flick. According to the “kicker”, the longtime Löw assistant has also received “inquiries from top European clubs”. The magazine does not specify which clubs are involved.
However, it writes of “hardened fronts” in the conflict between Flick and sports director Hasan Salihamidžić. Only a “sensational U-turn towards a new and stable harmony” could prevent the head coach from leaving in the summer, it is definitely said.
Nagelsmann is angry
Of course, FC Bayern has to deal with a possible departure of his coach, because the “sensational turnaround” is not foreseeable in the long-term theater between Flick and his superior that has been going on for months. This was recently announced by Lothar Matthäus and, in his role as “Sky” expert, assured that coach Hansi Flick would leave Bayern Munich and that the club had already spoken to Nagelsmann. However, the record national player immediately received a rebuke from the allegedly courted player.
“There were and are no talks. The country needs new informants,” said Nagelsmann, who recently praised Matthäus for his work as a TV expert. “Now I celebrated him a lot two weeks ago. Now he knocked out one yesterday. I’m still celebrating him,” said Nagelsmann.
The Leipzig coach emphasized before the Bundesliga game on Friday evening that there would be no talks between his advisors and FC Bayern (8.30 p.m. / DAZN and in the live ticker at ntv.de) glike TSG Hoffenheim. “My consultants are not self-sufficient, they do things that I specify.
