During the big debate, broadcast on Europe 1 and CNews hosted by Laurence Ferrari and Pierre De Vilno, François-Xavier Bellamy attacked Valérie Hayer’s “unclear” position on recognition of the Palestinian state. “These are subjects on which we do not have the right to ‘at the same time’,” he declared.

On the set of the debate “Europeans 2024: which France in which Europe?”, hosted by Laurence Ferrari and Pierre De Vilno on Europe 1 and CNews, François-Xavier Bellamy, head of the Republican list, attacked Valérie Hayer , head of the presidential majority list, on the subject of recognition of the State of Palestine, but especially on the government’s “ambiguity” on this subject.

François-Xavier Bellamy believes that “the recognition of the State of Palestine now is giving a reward to Hamas. It means that terrorism can pay.” He criticizes the position of Valérie Hayer on this subject, but also of Bernard Guetta, number 2 on his list, who felt that it was necessary “to do it today”. Elements which make the position of the presidential majority “unclear”, on subjects on which we do not have the right to ‘at the same time’ which has lasted too long and which has led France into the wall on all subjects”, according to him.
