(AOF) – Europlasma’s subsidiary, Inertam, has signed a five-year partnership agreement with an Abidjan company specializing in the field of Cleanliness, Hygiene, Safety and the Environment in Ivory Coast. “The birth of this alliance is based on the complementarity of the activities of each of the partners”, explains the specialist in treatment and hazardous waste, material recovery and decarbonization.

Indeed, the Abidjan-based company is involved in asbestos removal, packaging and transportation of asbestos-containing waste, while Inertam provides final treatment at very high temperatures for this hazardous waste, at its Morcenx-la-Nouvelle site (France). ).

Nearly 120 tonnes of asbestos waste are already awaiting treatment. “Their delivery from the African continent to Europe will be governed by the provisions of the Basel Convention on the control of transboundary movements of hazardous waste and their disposal,” Europlasma specified.
