France 2 broadcast on Sunday live the singing competition of the Eurovision Junior, organized in France after the victory of the French Valentina in 2020. This year, the young Enzo, who wore the colors of France, came first in the votes jury and finished on the podium after the public vote.

No double this year, but France did not go far from the feat. The Eurovision Junior was held on Sunday afternoon at the Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt (near Paris) and was broadcast live on France 2. The children’s singing competition was organized in France, thanks to the victory of Valentina in 2020. The young singer then represented France with her song I imagine. This time young Enzo and his song Tic Tac who wore the colors of our country.

France in the lead before the public vote

At the end of the ritual counting of the votes of the juries of each country, Enzo is at the top of the provisional ranking, ahead of Poland and Armenia. But the public vote then came to change the situation. France finally finished in third position in the final classification. The competition gathered this year 19 candidates. It was finally Armenia who won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest yesterday. The country was represented by the young Maléna Fox, 13, and her song Qami Qami.

Eurovision Junior attracted 1.64 million French viewers this year, a little better than last year. We are still far from the audience levels of the adult version of Eurovision, but the latter is not broadcast on a Sunday afternoon and the two competitions can therefore hardly be compared in terms of audiences.
