A total of eight artists have already been selected for the ESC 2024. Olly Alexander competes for Great Britain.

After “Friesenjung” Joost Klein (26) for the Netherlands, further artists have now been announced for the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. For Great Britain, Olly Alexander (33), also known as Years & Years, will be competing in Malmö in 2024.

The Brit celebrated great success in 2015, especially with his songs “King” and “Shine”. Years & Years were founded in 2010, initially as a band. In 2021, Years & Years became a solo project by Olly Alexander. Now, however, he no longer wants to appear under that name. “I’ve wanted to do this for a long time and it feels like the right moment to release music under my own name,” he is quoted in a press release. For him, the ESC is a “wonderfully chaotic mix of musical styles, theatrical performances, warm emotions and humor.”

These artists have also already been confirmed

In addition to Olly Alexander and Joost Klein, six other musicians have already been confirmed who will perform on stage at the ESC 2024. Singer Raiven (27) is competing for Slovenia, musician Aiko (23) is singing for the Czech Republic next year, Mustii (33) is performing for Belgium and Silia Kapsis (17) is competing for Cyprus. Singer Slimane (34) was chosen for France and Marina Satti (36) sings for Greece.

Germany has not yet appointed an act for the ESC. This will only be determined at the preliminary decision “Eurovision Song Contest – The German Final 2024”, which will take place on February 16th in Berlin.
