(AOF) – Eutelsat and Intelsat have just signed a vast, multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership agreement covering Eutelsat’s OneWeb constellation in low orbit (LEO). Coming into effect in mid-2024, the partnership could reach 500 million dollars over seven years. It includes a firm commitment of $250 million, incorporating the $45 million agreement signed in March 20231, with options for an additional $250 million at the end of the seven-year period.
Intelsat will thus be able to combine the capabilities of OneWeb’s LEO network with its own GEO and terrestrial resources to provide comprehensive solutions for the networking, government services and mobility sectors.
