Evasion: what terrible news did Sylvester Stallone learn during filming?

In 2012, it was on the set of the film Evasion, broadcast this Monday, September 14 on W9, that Sylvester Stallone learned of the death of his son, Sage.

It’s an understatement to say that Sylvester Stallone doesn’t have fond memories of filming the film. Escape, broadcast this Monday, September 14 at 9 p.m. on W9. Indeed, it was in the middle of filming the action film with Arnold Schwarzenegger, that the emblematic interpreter of Rambo learned the disappearance of his son, Sage. The latter was found dead on July 13, 2012 in his Los Angeles home. If the first rumors echo a possible overdose, it is, in reality, a heart failure which got the better of the young actor aged 36 years. Vicodin, a morphine analgesic, is however found in his body.

This disappearance is a real tragedy for Sylvester Stallone, father of four children. “I implore people to respect the memory of my wonderfully gifted son and have compassion for his loving mother, Sasha, because this heartbreaking loss will be with us for the rest of our lives.”, he then informed, a few hours after the terrible announcement. Since then, the American actor has paid tribute to his late son in each of his films. “Every time I do things rooted in reality, I think it helps me a lot. My son, I want to honor his memory and I think that’s what I do”he confided, during a press conference, in 2016.

In 1990, Sage Stallone played Rocky’s son in Rocky 5

Born in 1976 from the love between his father and Sasha Czack, his mother, Sage Stallone wanted to follow in the footsteps of his illustrious father. Indeed, the young man began his career in Rocky 5, in 1990. He interprets there, quite naturally, the role of the son of Rocky, interpreted by his father. He then continued his career in series B even if he managed to make a name (or rather a first name) in the middle of horror films.
